Rex has written, produced and performed promotional music for the film
"The Kings of Appletown," directed by Academy Award winner Bobby Moresco and has composed the score to the film "Butterfly," produced and directed by Paolo Durazzo.

He has also composed and performed music for a series of radio and television commercials for the St. Louis Repertory Theater, which have been broadcast on radio and TV stations in the St. Louis market since 2007. His music has also aired on National Public Radio along with KJAZZ in Los Angeles, WPFW in Washington DC, KMOX and KWMU in St. Louis.
